In 2016, I founded BERTEAU & Co. with a vision to create thoughtfully designed products that celebrate and support educators. Since day one, I have personally designed every product in the collection—year after year—ensuring that each item reflects our commitment to quality, functionality, and style. What began as a small idea has grown into a nationally recognized and beloved brand within the education community. BERTEAU & Co. is known for its signature blend of playful design, clean lines, and a polished, professional aesthetic. Our products don’t just organize classrooms—they inspire teachers who are proud to carry tools that match their passion and purpose. Today, BERTEAU & Co. is proudly owned and operated by The Kindergarten Smorgasboard, allowing me to continue leading the creative direction in close collaboration with a team that fully supports and trusts my design vision
Website Design
When I designed the BERTEAUandCO.com website, every decision was made with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. I wanted the user experience to feel clean, modern, and intuitive, while still showcasing the brand’s personality and products in a bold, memorable way. I focused on creating a visual hierarchy that made navigation seamless, emphasizing key products, collections, and announcements without overwhelming the user. From the typography and color palette to the layout and photography style, each element was chosen to reflect the quality and professionalism of the brand. I also optimized the mobile experience, knowing that many customers would shop on their phones, and ensured the site was responsive, fast-loading, and easy to update for seasonal launches and promotions.
Product Design
I have designed a wide range of products for BERTEAU & Co., combining functionality with signature style to create items educators and organizers love. From bestselling clipfolios and premium planners to notebooks, notepads, and classroom décor, I’ve helped shape the brand’s product line from top to bottom. My designs also include t-shirts, sweatshirts, keychains, lanyards, tumblers, stickers, greeting cards, pins, pens, and bags—plus some fun surprises like dolls and even doorbells. Every item reflects the BERTEAU & Co. aesthetic: bold, thoughtful, and made to inspire.
